Lee Valley VeloPark

The London Velodrome by Hopkins Architects is one of four permanent venues in the Olympic Park built for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It has won the AJ 100 'Building of the Year' Award 2011, Architecture Award, Design Museum's Design of the year 2012, RIBA Regional Award 2011 amongst many others. Cycling inspired the concept for the Velodrome: the bicycle is an ingenious ergonomic object that is honed to unrivalled efficiency.
