The MAAT

The Musuem of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) in Lisbon comprises of a repurposed power station built in 1908, and a newly built complex designed by the London based architecture studio AL_A (Amanda Levete Architects). Opened in 2016, the riverfront museum has hosted exhibitions such as 'Over Flow' by Paris based artist Tadashi Kawamata where he filled the museum full of rubbish collected from the coast line to warn about plastic waste in our oceans.
